In my case the only port I build that needs non-standard options is mail/postfix, to enable Cyrus SASL support. Consequently I have this setting in /usr/local/etc/poudriere.d/make.conf (outside the jail) which from what I understand applies to both my 11amd64 and 12amd64 (and future) poudriere jails: # build Postfix with Cyrus SASL support mail_postfix_SET=SASL Of course, be sure to point your FreeBSD 12.0-REL systems to your new 12.0 repo, instead of your old 11.x repo.
