Look in /etc/rc.conf. Do you have any variables that start with "kern_securelevel_"? In my utter ignorance, I just turn all of this off by removing all such variables (the default is not to use them). -jj -- o*s*o*pho*bi*a n. A common fear among embedded systems programmers.
