Hi, I am trying to get ipv6 running on my home network. I think I am close but I am still unable to get things to work correctly. I am running 5.0 on a pc that I use as my router. Connected to my router is a Windows XP machine. I want the=20 router to assign an ipv6 address to my windows machine. I have a tunnel setup to my office router which I can ping just fine. I am unable to ping past the office router though. If any one can shed some light on my problem I would be grateful. Please reply to me directly as I am=20 not presently on the mailing list. My config is here: # Please make all changes to this file, not to /etc/defaults/rc.conf.=20 # This file now contains just the overrides from /etc/defaults/rc.conf.=20 # -- sysinstall generated deltas --=20 # Wed Jun 5 13:43:26 2002=20 kern_securelevel_enable=3D"NO"=20 check_quotas=3D"NO"=20 sendmail_enable=3D"NO"=20 sshd_enable=3D"YES"=20 inetd_enable=3D"NO"=20 tcp_extensions=3D"YES"=20 pccard_enable=3D"NO"=20 #=20 # ipv4 setup=20 ifconfig_xl0=3D"inet 216.189.70.21 netmask 255.255.255.0"=20 ifconfig_dc0=3D"inet 209.198.15.241 netmask 255.255.255.248"=20 hostname=3D"painted-gw.cetlink.net"=20 #=20 # ipv6 setup=20 ipv6_enable=3D"YES" ipv6_network_interfaces=3D"dc0 gif0"=20 ipv6_ifconfig_dc0=3D"2001:530:dead:beef::1 prefixlen 64"=20 #=20 #=20 #=20 tunnel gif_interfaces=3D"gif0"=20 gifconfig_gif0=3D"216.189.70.21 209.198.1.225"=20 ipv6_ifconfig_gif0=3D"2001:530:1:1::B prefixlen 127"=20 #=20 # ipv6 routing=20 ipv6_gateway_enable=3D"YES"=20 ipv6_static_routes=3D"default" ipv6_route_default=3D":: -prefixlen 0 2001:530:1:1::A"=20 ipv6_defaultrouter=3D"2001:530:1:1::A" ipv6_router=3D"/usr/sbin/route6d" ipv6_router_flags=3D"-N dc0" # # route advertise ipv6_prefix_dc0=3D"2001:530:dead:beef prefixlen 64"=20 rtadvd_enable=3D"YES"=20 rtadvd_interfaces=3D"dc0" Best regards, Jeff --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
