To answer your question: possibly because some committers are reluctant to add a new port for a couple patches to something that's already in the ports tree. It's a lot easier to ask whoever makes the ArsDigita patches to get them integrated, particularly from the namespace point of view. If they say yes, then we don't need an extra port. If they say no, it's more justification to add it. That said, has there been any change WRT this port since it was submitted?
