from within linux parted -l shows
Model: MX MXUB3SES-8GB (scsi)
Disk /dev/sdb: 7988MB
Sector size (logical/physical): 512B/512B
Partition Table: msdos
Disk Flags:

from FreeBSD installation shell gpart show gives the following
