I disagree, it breaks cross-platform compatibility when people will use -q
to make shure that termcap wins. I mean that both default and -q mode are
the same.

Of course it needed, I doubt that Pine developers fix this issue.

What do you mean by 'magic numbers'? They are just termcap(5) capabilities
and nothing more.
