I'm not "nay-saying" anybody. This is what's called a discussion. ;-)

However, I *have* had 20 years of experience implementing real-time OSes
(whose performance criteria are much stricter than those for UNIces), so
I'm willing to contend that I know *something* about how to implement
such things.
