I couldn't reproduce this as unfortunately I was installing to a production machine and had to get it up and running, but I manged to get sysinstall, running from the boot floppy, to segfault through repeated cancellations. In essence, I pointed the installer at releng3 instead of ftp.freebsd.org. As a result, each distribution would fail, so I began to hit Ctrl-C to hurry it up some--after a few Ctrl-C's of distributions, a dialog came up informing me of the segfault. My belief is that it can be reproduced through hitting Ctrl-C a number of times during the actual installation, but was unable to verify this.
