To: freebsd-questions@freebsd.org MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG hi just installed 4.6 mkisofs works great burncd does not, sometimes it works sometimes not; when burncd doesnot work it sais: burncd: ioctl(CDIOCSTART): Device busy i have had mixed success w/ burncd and other 4.5 boxes, on 1 or 2 it was great on others it wouldn't work... still on others it works intermittently SO decided to see if i can use cdrecord with ide cdburners since THIS box is a fresh 4.6 install have heard various stories how 4.6 is supposed to work with cdrecord and teh new ATA drivers.. so how do i get cdrecord to "see" the ide burner acd0c? cdrecord -scanbus of course tells me nothing since no SCSI devices exist Can i do cdrecord -v speed=8 dev=?,?,? someiso.iso with the ? being what for the first ide device on ide channel 2 Thanx for any input pls also answer to this email as i won't get it fr the list --P __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
