No.  Well, that's not entirely true.  We'll now print message saying
that the card is a cardbus card and not supported.

Yes.

The short story is that there's a lot of changes in -current that
NEWCARD has grown to depend on.  MFCing them into stable will take a
lot of time (I've done some of them, and it took me 20 hours so far to
track them down, merge them, fix for code drift, etc).

Maybe there might be something post 4.4, but since we go into code
slush in a few days, it won't make it.
