You need to read the ERRATA.TXT file.  With 3.0-RELEASE, they need to
be in C:\3.0-RELEASE instead of C:\FreeBSD.

You can find the ERRATA.TXT file on the ftp site at
ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/3.0-RELEASE
