I've also noticed this in the past.  Generally I don't plug and unplug +
and because pccard seems to register my card properly now-adays (thanks
Warner) I've noted this behavour - I believe that Warner only has a
single pccard slot on his machine so it wouldn't surprise me that there
are still some gremlins around about.
