your timezone on the machine is set to GMT, ruffly 4 hours ahead of where
you are.

you will want to set your timezone to EST, with tzsetup(8). it's fast, and
fairly painless.

set your timezone to the correct one. you will probably have to fix the
date on the machine again, with date(1).
