If the sender, on purpose or not, fakes the email address to an @freebsd.org address, then he will get assigned as owner of the PR. It is the same as somebody fakes the sender email address of that of the maintainer, or the maintainer sends it from a different address: GNATS has an email based unauthenticated submission system. http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=125317
