Hi,
has anyone maybe managed to get the backup software Legato NetWorker
running on FreeBSD? I don't mean the client which runs just fine but the
server itself.
I have a customer who wants to run this but they can't afford a license
for another OS and don't want to use linux again (they just switched to
FreeBSD).

The binaries are running but access to tape devices just won't work.
I read about not all linux ioctl commands being implemented in the
FreeBSD-emulation. Is there a workaround for this or do I have to
convince the guys there to use linux again?

The customer uses FreeBSD 4.5 STABLE #0

thanks in advance
Christian Weihs
