Last reports I saw say it does not build on -CURRENT/amd64 but again, I'm really not sure. Until I can find someone who will actively look after Mono on amd64 (ie. by tinderboxing the BSD# tree and fixing the problems on the platform when they crop up) I'm leaving amd64 commented out with the advice that it should work but if problems arise you're on your own.
