Absolutely!  We'e been waiting for someone to say that! :-)

Looks good to me.  But what does updateutmp() return? ;-)

This looks like it'll do everything you might possibly want to do to a
utmp file, and without any icky path knowledge built in.  I like it.
When do the commits hit libutil? :-)
