In what ways would you like it to help you work with .c and .h files?
Automatic indenting? Syntax highlighting? Capturing the compiler's errors
and going to corresponding lines?   I know vim will do all of the above,
vim is in ports/editors/vim5, I believe.  It comes with online help, so
you can just type ":help" from command mode, and go exploring.  I am not
sure about nvi or xvile or other editors, but they probably have similar
capabilities.
