It's runs off of a Reveal/Packard Bell Soundcard (Aztech soundcard I forget the model similar to Sound Galaxy washington 16). The Cd-Rom drives off of a panasonic interface on the soundcard. If you need anymore info about the "CD-ROM Drive", all I can give you is what the "CD-ROM Drive says on the drive itself (provided you tell me what to look for). any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated -thanks Cosmic-665 >From: Greg Lehey >To: Cosmic 665 >CC: FreeBSD Questions >Subject: Re: Propritary Cd-Rom Drives >Date: Tue, 27 Jul 1999 10:48:32 +0930 >MIME-Version: 1.0 >From grog@freebie.lemis.com Mon Jul 26 18:19:22 1999 >Received: from [192.109.197.134] by hotmail.com (2.1) with ESMTP id >MHotMailB96654170012D82197A8C06DC5860A3F0; Mon Jul 26 18:19:22 1999 >Received: from freebie.lemis.com (freebie.lemis.com [192.109.197.137])by >allegro.lemis.com (8.9.1/8.9.0) with ESMTP id KAA19291;Tue, 27 Jul 1999 >10:48:32 +0930 (CST) >Received: (from grog@localhost)by freebie.lemis.com (8.9.3/8.9.0) id >KAA62389;Tue, 27 Jul 1999 10:48:32 +0930 (CST) >Message-ID: <19990727104832.C62218@freebie.lemis.com> >References: <19990726192314.11995.qmail@hotmail.com> >X-Mailer: Mutt 0.95.4i >In-Reply-To: <19990726192314.11995.qmail@hotmail.com>; from Cosmic 665 on >Mon, Jul 26, 1999 at 12:23:14PM -0700 >WWW-Home-Page: http://www.lemis.com/~grog >X-PGP-Fingerprint: 6B 7B C3 8C 61 CD 54 AF 13 24 52 F8 6D A4 95 EF >Organization: LEMIS, PO Box 460, Echunga SA 5153, Australia >Phone: +61-8-8388-8286 >Fax: +61-8-8388-8725 >Mobile: +61-41-739-7062 > >[moved to FreeBSD-questions] > >On Monday, 26 July 1999 at 12:23:14 -0700, Cosmic 665 wrote: > > hi all; > > > > > > I got an "OlD-Fashion" reveal CD-ROM drive (you know the kind that >runs > > on the soundcard cable :P) and I'm trying to get this wonderfull > > state-of-the-art cdrom drive to run under FreeBSD. does anyone know the > > driver I should use?? > >No. How do you expect us to if you don't specify the model? > >Greg >-- >When replying to this message, please copy the original recipients. >For more information, see http://www.lemis.com/questions.html >See complete headers for address, home page and phone numbers >finger grog@lemis.com for PGP public key ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
