On XP, according to Windows DDK:Kernel-Mode Driver Architecture
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/kmarch/hh/kmarch/memmgmt_5esn.asp?frame=true,
"The size of the kernel-mode stack is limited to approximately three pages."

That would be 12k on i386. ISTR it was less on win2k.
