FreeBSD has i810 kernel support for running XFree86 4.x.
Actually, I write from such a machine.  Put the

agp_load="YES"

line to /boot/loader.conf, then refer to i810(4) XFree86
manpage on how to set up XF86Config(5) for i810.  You
may also wish to tune the VideoRam option for high
resolution modes.

Also, it's worthy to search the mailing list archives.
