X-Priority: 3 (Normal) Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Sender: owner-questions@FreeBSD.ORG X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Precedence: bulk hi.. after hearing about how great freebsd was, i decided to try it. so far i've had nothing but troubles in getting it to install, from the install script not really working, to the xf86config file being lost, to just a general not workingness (?) of the whole thing... the first time i tried to install, i decided that installing everything would be a good way to check out the os and how it worked...i figured that with 1.5GB i wouldn't have any problems with space...guess i was wrong. so i did the next best thing. i did the ole pick and choose routine and went with things that i knew that i'd use and that have worked well in the past for me while using linux. once again, out of space. i'm beginning to wonder about this process, cause i have an ENTIRE distro. of slackware in almost the same amount of space. what am i doing wrong here? anyway, what i'm getting at is that any suggestions or pointers that anyone can offer outside of the manuals on the freebsd page would be greatly appreciated. thanks for your time brian
