Is it possible to do this just by following instructions in /usr/src/UPDATING or should I *really* first make binary upgrade to 4.0 RELEASE? I'm asking this because of the following message I've found in archives: Kris Kennaway on Thu, 18 May 2000 wrote: > Updating from 3.X to 4.0-STABLE is not supported - you have to go to > 4.0-RELEASE, and then to -STABLE. > > Having said that, this was temporary tree breakage which is already fixed, > although trying to update to 4.0-S still may not work. -- ------------------------------------------------------------- Kresimir Kumericki kkumer@phy.hr http://www.phy.hr/~kkumer/ Theoretical Physics Department, University of Zagreb, Croatia ------------------------------------------------------------- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
