Date: Tue, 13 Nov 2001 10:44:06 -0800 From: Bakul Shah Sender: owner-freebsd-hardware@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Fry's Electronics is selling these motherboard with Athlon 1600XP+ cpu (1.4Ghz) for $149 which seems like a decent price. Specs: supports upto 3GB of 266Mhz PC2100 DDR, ALi Magick1 chip set, ATA 133 etc. Has anyone run FreeBSD-{stable|current} on these beasts? Suggestions for alternative motherboards gratefully accepted! Basically I want a machine with 1+ Ghz Athlon, 1+ GB mem + it has to be reliable and be a good value for money. Similarly suggestions for alternatives to Fry's (but local to the SF bay area) also gratefully accepted.
