I just cvsup'd a box to stable yesterday from 4.4-PRE dated august 9. While rearanging some fairly large directory trees after the update the box rebooted. Here's the current dmesg output: root@devel(~)# dmesg D) root@devel(~)# Here's /var/log/messages: root@devel(~)# more /var/log/messages Oct 20 12:00:01 devel newsyslog[392]: logfile turned over Oct 20 12:10:35 devel /kernel: LEARED) Oct 20 12:45:01 devel su: lauasanf to root on /dev/ttyp1 Oct 20 12:50:44 devel su: lauasanf to root on /dev/ttyp0 root@devel(~)# The /kernel: LEARED) message probably occured right before the reboot according to the uptime, and the system clock. The system is a dual 166 pentium (no mmx) on a tyan tomcat 3. Here's the last good dmesg: Copyright (c) 1992-2001 The FreeBSD Project.
