I am wondering if anyone has any pointers on how I should set about this process. I was thinking to use one of the l0pht password-revealing tools and creating identically-named accounts on the FreeBSD server, although I don't particularly like the notion of ever compromising the users' passwords. Alternatively, I could contact each of the users and tell them to log in after a certain date and change their passwords, but I am not sure how to force a user to change their password on FreeBSD or how to enforce the use of strong passwords. What about generating random passwords for each of the users? ...so many questions, is there some good documentation on this subject somewhere? tia --gill = gill@topsecret.net ======================= "You might like to know that I looked at a detailed map of NT, and I'm now able to confirm that in all probability Microsoft NT does not exist. If it does, it's so small as to be completely insignificant." --Greg Lehey, Author, _The Complete FreeBSD_ -------------------------------------------- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
