Unfortunately the PR number has been removed from the subject line, so I have
no idea which PR is being discussed, but it seems functionally equivalent to
a problem I reported, PR8544, as well as PR8902, which led me to PR7415,
which has an attached patch which may not have actually been committed (it's
from August) that may solve the problem (or not - IANAProgrammer).
