If someone rubs you the wrong way and just generally annoys you then just quietly ignore them. If someone is jumping up and down, saying they've added you to their filters blah blah (the equivalent of an 8 year old sticking their fingers in their ears and shouting "I can't hear you!"), ignore them. Save the rest of us the annoyance.
