Yes, I am using WEP.  Forgot to mention that in my first email.  Were you 
able to find a workaround or a fix of some sort?

Here's what I have...

wi0: <Intersil Prism2.5> mem 0xd7801000-0xd7801fff irq 10 at device 9.0 on pci0
wi0: 802.11 address: 00:05:5d:f9:c2:3e
wi0: using RF:PRISM2.5 MAC:ISL3874A(Mini-PCI)
wi0: Intersil Firmware: Primary 1.00.07, Station 1.03.06
