Indeed, Lucent makes no real mention of the power saving features in their
documentation. This is because the firmware of *both* the WavePoint-IIs and
the PC-Cards didn't support power saving until 1Q99.

You will be glad to hear that you can absolutely upgrade your firmware in
your WavePoint-II and PC-Cards to support power saving. You'll need to run
Win95 or NT to run the upgrade utilities. The versions you need:

All PC-Cards:          firmware v2.00 or greater
WavePOINT-II:          software v2.03 or greater

You can find updates at www.wavelan.com and ftp.wavelan.com.
