I'm afraid there's no immediate solution until Robert Nordier finishes his DOSFS rewrite, though he did send me some stand-alone DOSfs reading code which I may try to integrate into sysinstall as a temporary work-around. This won't, however, help you much currently, I'm sorry to say.
