I try to install FreeBSD on my computer, COMPAQ Presario Pentium 16 MHZ.
I download the image file and the .exe file and use them to make a boot
disk as suggested. Then I download all files in the bin directory into
a:\bin\ disks. It takes about 25 floppy disks. Then I turn off my
computer and then use a system selector software to make a partition of
about
300 MB for FreeBSD. And then I switch from Windows 95 to this disk
space, using the software. Then after I turn off and on the computer
again, I am in this 300 MB. Then I turn off and on the computer and
insert your boot disk. The following appears:
boot: -c
I choose "kernel configuation in full-screen visual mode" and see
  21 conflicts
press Q and Y
The setup program runs. In the process, I see
"wfd0: medium type unknown (no disk)"
Then the "/stand/sysinstall Main Menu" appears. I choose "Novice" and
ENTER
A message windows appears, I press ENTER
