Subject: [Q] Specifying kernel from boot console

Hi. I am doing some kernel hacking on a remote freebsd machine. This
machine has a serial console hooked up to another machine connected to
the net. I use the serial console to debug with DDB. This setup
works fine, but there are situations where my new kernel will crash
before it's finished booting. If I 'panic' or otherwise reboot the
machine from DDB, the same bad kernel will boot up. Is there a way to
specify the kernel to use when booting from the serial console as you
can with a boot option from the "real" console?

Thanks,
David

P.S.: Please reply to this e-mail as well, since I'm not on the
freebsd-questions mailing list.
