Well, I guess that you and I got the files on our machines when we installed our FreeBSD releases on them. Since we have set NOPROFILE=true, any make world's did not rebuild the libs and now we are stuck with the old ones. I think that the libs don't have any effects, and can either be deleted, or left lying around. That probably won't make a difference. If we wanted our profiled libs updated, we'd have to change the NOPROFILE line in make.conf, and the next make world would update them, but, as has been said, this takes a long time and isn't necessarry.
