Actually you have a pile of seperate incidents here.

You filled /home up.  I bet you have your Netscape cache setting too large.

*laugh*  And you don't have enough swap.

These three are stranger.  Does 'top' normally work OK?  Either you 
have an intermittent memory problem, or perhaps a buggy wish, or
something odd is happening.

This is a (relatively) benign message, according to the VM gurus.
