hello annelise,
	looks like your /etc/crontab has an error.  it should look
	like this:

[snip]
#
#minute hour    mday    month   wday    who     command
#
*/5     *       *       *       *       root    /usr/libexec/atrun
[snip]

	the HOME enviroment variable is set to "HOME=/root"
	should be "HOME=/var/log"
