The FreeBSD C99 & POSIX Conformance Project seeks two persons to fill
the following two job positions. Please e-mail mike@FreeBSD.org to
apply.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Position: Wide String Support Integrator
Job Description:

FreeBSD is currently lacking in its support for wide strings. In
particular, C99 and POSIX.1-2001 require some 75 functions not
currently found in FreeBSD. NetBSD and the Citrus project have gone
to significant efforts to develop a number of these functions. Your
job will be to integrate these functions into FreeBSD.

Job applicants should already have a commit bit since the job mainly
involves testing and committing already completed code. If you are
accepted for this position, you will be expected to have your work
reviewed by the -standards mailing list before committing.

Pay: The satisfaction of a job well done. :)

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Position: Complex Numbers and Arithmetic Developer
Job Description:

C99 requires approximately 65 functions related to complex number
arithmetic. These functions are mainly variants of the math(3)
functions. Your job will be to develop these functions (most likely
using libm sources as a starting point).

Being a committer is not required for this position, but is helpful.
As with the other job position, if you are accepted for this position,
you will be expected to have your work reviewed by the -standards
mailing list before committing.

Pay: Free, lifetime use of an OS with complex number support. :)
