I just did a buildworld/installworld again ... since a few days, and
noticed that WAV-playing is fucked up again ... the first x samples of the
sound just don't play at all anymore. and for basically all the "short
sounds" i don't get any sound whatsoever.  The only thing sound-related (i
can think of) that changed is this newpcm commit.
