Well, I did what you said do and tried mount_msdos /dev/afd0a /mnt and still getthis

[bryanc2000@insightbb]/home/bryanc2000# mount_msdos /dev/afd0a /mnt/
mount_msdos: /dev/afd0a: Invalid argument
