This last sentence is the kicker -- those are the only postings that were being cancelled (are being cancelled, I suppose I should say). So, what uunet did to clean things up was to simply cut them off. Without warning. Fine by me -- uunet spam stats are down from hundreds of thosuands a day to less than a thousand a day. But they're doing just what the UDP was forced to do.
