However, there are some pretty spiffy notebooks for the Japanese home market that are both ultrlight and have a built-in cdrom. Panasonic makes one that is pretty nifty looking... there are a couple of outfits that sell these in the US (but charge for it). Not sure it's really worth advertising for them on the list (I'd be happy to pass a url along) as I am not affiliated with them in any shape or form.
