Also it is a little more difficult to fix in the release target, not impossible, but why should we have to do it, if we can just get rid of the problem? Do a "cat src/sbin.a* | tar -tzvf - | fgrep .o" in 3.0-RELEASE directory or any of the 3.0 snaps after the first E-day and you will see a lot of .o files.
