It appears that Netscape depends on the XFree86 a.out libaries being installed as a dependency. Ok. However, the package that supposedly has them won't load, claiming: "There do not appear to be any a.out libaries on this machine. Please install the compat22 distribution via /stand/sysinstall...." In short, it appears that this package needs an update to let it know how to find the a.out libraries correctly.
