    Doug,

    have you received any response from Dirk, or done any work on
    restoring lang/php4 yourself?
    
    I'm asking because I missed this post before, and have a pretty much
    working version of lang/php4/Makefile now that is IMO more flexible
    than what used to be in ports or is there in www/mod_php4 now.
