Your subject refers to a parallel-port Zip - the answer to your question 
is "when someone who has one writes a driver".  Nobody here (so far)
has one, so there's not been much of a demand.

With a 2940 you will want to upgrade to -stable to get all the fixes to the 
driver.  Fortunately this isn't too hard 8)

on which sort it is it may or may not work ...
