Hi

When trying to install the 3.0.0-19990106-SNAP version from current.freebsd.org
I get a signal 11 in the very last stage of the installation. That is,
when I answer yes to the last step: This is your last chance, are you
sure ...

The message coming up reads:

A signal 11 was caught - I'm saving what I can and shutting. If you
can reproduce the problem, please turn Debug on in the Options menu for
the extra information it provides in debugging problems like this.

To be sure it was not a bad copy of the boot.flp image, I downloaded a fresh
image and rawcopied it to the floppy disk. This time I turned the debugging on.
Again I got the same signal 11 caught message. The Debug window (Alt-F2) read:

	(SNIP)
	XServer:3000000, XFonts: 3f, XDists: 18593
Debug: installCommit: System state is 'novice'
Debug: Setting variable _diskPartioned to yes
	Debug: diskPartionWrite Examining 2 devices
	Debug: bootalloc: can't stat /boot/boot1
	Debug: bootalloc: can't stat /boot/boot1
Debug: Signal 11 caught! That's bad!

My hardware:
------------
Mainboard:
ASUS P2B-DS with onboard Adaptec 7890 SCSI controller
Harddisk:
	IBM SCSI, Ultrastar 9ES, 4.5GB, 7.5ms, 512KB, UW-SCSI, 7200
Graphics card:
	Matrox Productiva G100, 8MB
Network card:
	3Com-900XL connected to cable modem.
+ standard floppy drive

Any help with this problem would be appreciated.

Best regards,
Paal Sommerhein
