David, I have been following your commits for quite a while and I must say that I am impressed not only by your threading knowledge but also by your C skill. I am very grateful for all of the hours you (and everyone) have spent improving my favorite operating system. I realize that at times, lack of positive feedback from the user base feels like you're rowing upstream. At the end of the day, the fact remains that you picked up one of the most neglected parts of the system and MADE A DIFFERENCE. My hat goes off to you.
