I know this one, but I really like to try first to put a nic card wireless (or an adapter for a pcmcia card) on a FreeBSD box. If none are supported I'll revert to the access point solution. So the question was: which kind of adapters is supported ? Anyone that are using some of them ? Netgear pcmcia adapter MA301 and its card: http://www.netgear.com/product_view.asp?xrp=11&yrp=30&zrp=90 http://www.netgear.com/product_view.asp?xrp=11&yrp=30&zrp=91 Zyxel ZyAIR PCI Adapter with its pcmcia card: http://www.zyxel.com/product/wireless/pciadapter.htm http://www.zyxel.com/product/wireless/zyair100.htm I see that someone is using them, but having problem setting the pccard zyxel at 11mbs (it stops at 2mbs). The message doesn't say which branch of FreeBSD was used (4.4-STABLE or 5.0-CURRENT, even if I presume the second based on the fact the adapter is cardbus). The adapter seems able to use other cards too ... Buffalo Tecnology ISA (and PCI) adapter: http://www.buffalo-technology.com/products/airstation/wliisaop.html http://www.buffalo-technology.com/products/airstation/wlipciop.html http://www.buffalo-technology.com/products/airstation/wlipcml11.html Dlink pci card dwl520: http://www.dlink.com/products/wireless/dwl520/ or the dwl500 with dwl650: http://www.dlink.com/products/wireless/dwl500/ http://www.dlink.com/products/wireless/dwl650/ Any other pcmcia adapters that work on a FreeBSD box ??
