Sadly, I used to agree, but changed my mind on seeing the increasing usage
of dynamic DNS.  If people start using it a fair amount with dynamic IP
allocation, it would be useful to have the hostname for
accounting/debugging purposes.  Not to be relied upon sans DNSsec, of
course, but still useful.  In any case, the IP address is something that
should definitely be there, especially in light of the current logging of
"invalid hostname" instead of any useful information if the DNS response
is poor :-).
