I thought this was a problem with my ports tree, but it is not the case. I did not want to reinstall everything again. Fortunately, I had another FreeBSD 6.1-RELEASE machine. I did exactly the same things there ( portsnap fetch ; portsnap update; pkdb -Ff ; portupgrade -rf pkg-config\* ) and I got the same problem again. I cannot install ee1 because of the same linker error. I also tried this: messias# portupgrade -a Stale dependency: gail-1.9.3 <-- gnome2-fifth-toe-2.12.3 -- manually run 'pkgdb -F' to fix, or specify -O to force. messias# pkgdb -F ---> Checking the package registry database messias# Although the dependency error was different on the other machine, it is the same kind. I think I did everything right, and now I have two machines where I cannot move forward. Can this be a bug in portupgrade, or FreeBSD? How it is possible that portupgrade thinks there is a stale dependency, but pkgdb cannot find it? Regards, Laszlo
